Meridian is part of a UK team including representatives from HORIBA MIRA and Millbrook travelling to Japan this week to connect the UK’s CAV ecosystem with potential new development opportunities.
During the week-long visit, Meridian will meet with organisations across a range of sectors to build on existing relationships and open new discussions to present the significant CAV capabilities in the UK.
Meridian will join the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC), the Automotive Investment Organisation (AIO), the Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV), Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), the Department for International Trade (DIT) and Innovate UK.
The visit coincides with Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan (JSAE) Spring Congress and Exhibition in Yokohama.
Dr Daniel Ruiz, CEO of Meridian said:

As the pace of CAV development continues to accelerate we will be using our time together in Japan to showcase the UK’s capabilities and identify opportunities to utilise our skills and resources in the global race for sustainable mobility.’
Dr Daniel Ruiz will be speaking at the UK Congress in the SAE Hall at Yokohama on Thursday 24th May. Meridian will be representing the UK CAV development ecosystem in the UK Pavilion, coordinated by the APC at the event.
